LG Flatron LED E2360 with PC
Another review on LG Flatron LED E2360. This time based on my experience with it on PC. SSF4AE is gonna be released on July on PC. For those who are looking for monitors, you might want to take a look at this
I didn’t mention the official specs for the monitor. I took the specs from http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-E2360V-PN.jsp
- Screen Size 23″
- Screen Size (Diagonal) 23.0″
- Panel Type TN
- Aspect Ratio 16:9
- Resolution 1920 x 1080
- Brightness (cd/m2) 250
- Contrast Ratio (DFC) 5,000,000:1
- Response Time (GTG) 5 ms (Typical)
- Viewing Angle 170º
- Display Colors 16.7 M

Setting up is as easy. I just plugged it in like any other monitors. Drivers are automatically detected on my Windows7.
I tested with Starcraft 2 on PC as well as watched some movies. Everything is sharper looking along with higher contrast. It is easier to see dim lighted areas than my old monitor.
LED vs LCD
I haven’t noticed how much my bills went down after using LED monitor. But I can feel the difference in the heat given off by the monitor. It is kinda scary to leave my PC on for 18hrs straight in a non-airconditioned room. Especially LCD monitors tend to heat up alot after a while. It is really amazing when I can’t feel any heat on the LED monitor. I guess the difference in energy usage is much lower as advertised!
For gamers like us, sometimes there is a need to bring your monitors around, eg BYOC. Usually I hate moving my stuffs around. Especially with my 27 inch monitor, it is really heavy…..When I first carried LED E2360 monitor, I can’t feel any weight from it. It is so thin that, my PC table feels empty now. Yes, now there are more junk on my table now cos I get more space
That is all I have! Getting ready for console SSF4AE release this week
